So we don't get a "working fine" option on the poll? Because my 3G iPod works fine with iTunes 6.0.
Are you running Tiger? I'm not.

This is purely to establish how many problems have occured. There is no point in showing Apple how many are working, that will not help them fix the problem.
Yes, Tiger.

Yes, there is a point in showing them how many are working fine, too. You're going to say, 100% of poll responders are having problems. Bzzt! wrong!
Clearly, some people with that combination are not having problems.
You only hear about it when people have a problem, not when things are working fine. Just because there are hundreds of posts on Apple's boards doesn't mean that EVERYONE is affected.
Let's say (for the sake of argument) that Apple sold 5 million third generation iPods, and 100,000 people are affected by the problem, and the rest aren't. That means only 2% of all 3G iPods are affected. Hardly a majority of people. Apple needs to get a better idea of how widespread (or not) the problem truely is.

I agree, this poll is not a poll, it is so one sided, it should be locked.
This is like asking the question "have you stopped beating your wife?"
I also have a 3G 30 GB iPod and have had no problems with iTunes 6.

Wow, bunch of attitudes. I am here to try to help those that have lost their iPods.
How do I change the poll? I don't see the option?
Any ideas? I have lots of work to do so lets get this done so that Apple can get on it.

I sent this message to the handy little "Report Abuse" icon below your name:
"Could you please add a third category that states the following?
3. No problems at all after update to iTunes 6.0 with 3G iPod.
Afterall, I would not want his rude self to feel left out.
Thanks,
Daniel Bayer"

That's not abuse.
THIS is abuse: "Shut your festering gob, you tit! Your type really makes me puke, you vacuous, coffee-nosed, malodorous pervert!!! Stupid git."*

I asked how to add the third category.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

I don't think it's possible. You may have to redo the poll in a different thread.

If you all read the links above, you will see that there are some bogus things going on.

No problem here. 20GB 3G (via FireWire) and a 60GB 5G (USB obviously). iTunes 6.0.x, OSX 10.4.3.
