 A few quickies:
Why don't folders used to organize playlists in itunes create coreponding directories on the iPod? This seems silly. The folders were a great addition to itunes, greatly helped me reduce my playlist clutter as well as create shortcuts to the artists I listen to the most... The folders dont appear on the ipod, and so my playlists on the ipod are an intangible web of duplicate names and poorly named playlists (out of context from their parent folders). Am i missing something here?
Why can't I organize my videos which I import to itunes by the Movies/Tv Shows/Music Video types as seen in the video section of itunes. All my imported videos go straight to the movies folder, and apparently are commented the same way as music files with Artist, album, track etc. Again, am I missing something? I have frigged with it quite a bit and cant figure out what to do. I have a lot of Tv shows from dvds and I would like to be able to organize them by TV Shows>Show>Season>episode. Instead I just have a big clusterf*** of video files in my movies section. Do you HAVE to download from the music store to specify as a TV show? "What gives, Leo?"
*Note: the screen does scratch way too easily. I suspect evil gnomes. I can leave it on my desk and not touch it, and It will have new scratches appear randomly before my eyes. I was using a sunglass cloth to wipe dust off the screen, but that scratched it. I will only blow on it anymore.

Well What I did was I created a Smart playlist for my movies so I could organize them better. Seems to do the trick. I'm not sure if you have to download from the iTunes store to specify as TV show but what I did was for Genre I added TV show(s) and I created a smartplaylist accordingly.

Playlist folders don't appear on the iPod. They should, but don't, at least not yet.
You can categorize your own videos as "movies" or "music videos" (by using the Get Info command and choosing from the drop-down menu) but you can't choose "TV show". That seems to be reserved for Apple's downloaded shows. Yes it's dumb.
But I have gotten around the organizational issues by creating playlists for each of my shows and it works reasonably well.

I agree that it's dumb that you can't choose "TV Shows" as an option. We should send feedback about this and we might see it in iTunes 6.5 ot iTunes 7. Who knows. Anyway I did pretty much the same thing you did.
