Hi everyone,

I just picked up my iPod video today and downloaded ffmpegX to encode some of my movies into iPod Video format. However, I am having a small problem. Almost all of my video content is widescreen and when I encode it for the iPod it ends up playing squished on the screen. Does anyone have any tips for outputting video content from ffmepgX to iPod while retaining the videos aspect ratio/proportions?

Thanks!

Use iSquint instead: http://homepage.mac.com/tylerl82/

Simple solution; uses the ffmpegX engine, but dumbs it down so that I can use it.

Thanks so much! This is EXACTLY the level of simplicity I was looking for! I don't know much about video editing, and I don't really want to. I just want my downloaded videos encoded for my iPod and this does that--quite elegantly. Thanks for the suggestion.

0.7 Seems quite limiting for my liking, but 1.0 is looking fantastic. Perfect
