I have a friend that has an iPOD Photo (60GB) and it seems that is not working anymore, I mean it doesn't start, it does not react in any manner when he tries to turn it on.

I want to ask if there is another solution to fix the iPOD beside the software reinstal method, because with this method he will loose all the music in it. Or if there could be a method to recover the music and after that to reset the software?

Try Holding down the Selct Button (Center button) and the menu at the same time

Don't forget to make sure the hold slider isn't set to "hold".
