I'm so frustrated I have quite a few audiobooks that are in mp3 format. iTunes won't let me put them in Audiobooks under my iPod and I can never remember the spot I was at last!!! How the heck are you supposed to listen to a book if you can't even bookmark it? How can I bookmark my mp3 file? What do I need to convert it to? How do I get it to show up under audiobooks, and most importantly how can I make it so (what key combo) on my ipod "pauses/bookmarks" my spot and the next time I start up with the audiobook it starts in the spot I left off. EVEN if I listen to some music and come back...
Get info on the track and select "Remember Playback Position" under "Options." If you need to do it for a lot of songs at once, use the "Selected Tracks Bookmarkable" script from Doug Adams's iTunes applescripts site (google it).
