YOu may need to take it to the Apple Store. How old is it? You might want to exchange it for a new one.

You have 1 year on Defects and other malfunctions from Apple. Also you have 90 days of free support. I would just take it back and show them what it is doing. They will test it and they can reproduce it they WILL replace it for you for no charge.

Throw it as hard as you can against a brick wall. Pick up the pieces, place them in a cardboard shoe box, and take it to the nearest computer store. Ask them to fix it for you.
