I mainly use my iPod when I run and I mainly run outside. Now that it's getting colder, my battery doesn't hold a charge for nearly as long. It's gone from 3 hours in the warm weather to 30-45 minutes in the cold weather. If I'm in my house or in the gym it holds a normal 3 hour charge. Are there any ways to lessen this? Has this happened to anyone else?

it is common for batteries to not last as long when in the cold. i leave my ipod in my car and when it is in the negatives, it works at about a third of the speed it's supposed to. though the music plays fine once it starts.

I guess I need to wrap a heap pack around it when I go for long runs.

Why not just put it inside your jacket closer to you?
