I notice the Apple store is selling the Monster charger/adapter (FM transmitter) today only for $58, which is a good price.

I'm looking for one for my kids for Christmas (one of our cars has no tape deck) and had been considering that one. The ipod lounge store gives really good marks, though, to a Kensington transmitter, so I was leaning toward that one.

Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with either? I did a search a few days ago, but those particulaar threads are pretty old.
Thanks.

I have the monster tramsmitter. In my vehicle it doesnt work very well. There is always static noise in the background, not very noticable when music is playing but in silent spots it is worse then a tape. I have tried many many stations.

However I have used the same monster transmitter in other vehicles and it was very good. No static sounds at all and very nice clear audio. THe same channels were used in both cars.

I havent tried any other transmitters in my car so I dont know if it is a problem with the radio in my car or not.

Thanks,
Luke.
