I have a Ibook G3 600MHz (Dual USB) with USB 1.1 and I'm considering buying a new 30GB Ipod; Apple recommends USB 2.0. Will this Ipod work with my Ibook?

Thanks

It will work but it will be very slow to copy songs (many hours if you're filling the entire iPod).

Of course, if you don't do a lot of changing of the songs on your iPod, it might be OK (just the initial sync will take a very long time). But it's not exactly the ideal situation.

What Icruise said. You can charge your iPod on a USB 1.1 port; there will be no difference with this. But, as Icruise said, data transfers will be a LOT slower. While Apple "recommends" USB 2.0, that's completely because of the inconvenience of the slower data rate supported by USB 1.1.
