I remember reading an article in MacWorld, long before I had an iPod, about formatting text files specially for the Notes/ directory in the iPod, so that they could have 'hyperlinks' to songs, to play them, while you were reading the note. Does anyone remember/know how to do that, or have a link to an article regarding that?

The reason I ask, is because I am buying a nano for my girlfriend and would like to leave a special message for her when she turns it on, with links to some songs she likes in the note, etc. Anyone remember how to do this?

Yes, Googling would be a good first step, but a lot of people (myself included) didn't know that this kind of thing was possible, but I guess it was worth bringing up.

Here is a direct link to the Macworld article in question.

But the OP clearly DID know it was possible, and even knew where he saw it. Googling to find it is the first thing you do!

Yeah, it didn't occur to me that macworld might have their print articles online. I had already checked places like macosxhints.com, but I hadn't checked macworld.com yet.

Now I know!
