Hey, everyone.
I searched here, Google and Apple's discussion boards but couldn’t find the info I'm looking for so:

Has the limitation of 1000 notes been raised on the new 5G 'Pods? I store tons of notes on my 60GB black iPod (mostly song lyrics - not lyrics embedded in a song file) and am getting very close to the 1000 limit. I'd like to add the entire collection of Beatles lyrics but am worried I'll run out of space (or, more to the point, the iPod will only recognize the first 1000).

Any help or info is appreciated.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

I don't know about a limitation on the number of notes, but have you considered storing the lyrics inside the song files? iTunes now does this, you know.

I have considered tagging song files with lyrics, but that doesn't really serve the purpose of my having them on my iPod.
I'm a professional entertainer and as part of my shows, I sometimes do a bit called "Spin the iPod" in which I'll show off the 'Pod to the audience and then randomly pick the lyrics to a song I haven't done in a long time or let someone request a song that I may or may not know. Having the lyrics as notes turns my iPod into a cool little teleprompter.

As of now, I have about 700 song lyrics (all standards) and it has proven to be a really useful feature for me.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

But having the lyrics with the song makes it easier to get to the lyrics, no?
