Hey guys, I know some people have been having the same problem as me on some other forums but no solutions yet. I just got my new iPod 5G and There is the new feature for where your can select the check box for "remember playback position" under the options tag after pressing "get info" on a movie. This is suppose to make it so the movie on the ipod always goes back to the place you were before. Well even if I checked the box, none of my movies remembers the playback position. However, the tv show I bought remembers its position perfectly... anyone know what the problem could be? I am absolutely sure all the boxes are checked..
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what to tell you. All of the videos I've converted remember their positions fine. What kind of videos are you trying to do this for?

I figured out that my ipod seems to only remember the playback position of a video if I stop the video and sync it with itunes. But then after that, trying to play that video on the ipod will always start the video at that point ... even if i watched past that point.
thanks for the response, most all my videos are mpeg4. ending with .m4v or .mp4 neither of them remember the position correctly

Yes, it seems that iTunes remembers where you left off, not the iPod. I just have to remember to plug in my iPod every night when I get home.

No, that's not the case. My iPod remembers where I left off just fine without syncing to iTunes. I can't explain why it's not working for you guys, although my movies are all h.264 format. Maybe that has something to do with it.
