Okay, I know get I need to get with the program, but since I'm a creature of habit still
running OS9.1 on my Pismo powerbook, just thought I'd ask if it's even remotely
possible to use a Ipod Nano with my current system? I have a very early version of
iTunes 2.0.4 also installed. I'm guessing I'm gonna need to finally upgrade to OSX or
better yet get new a mac. Been tempted to purchase only a copy of latest version of
OSX and install on Pismo but I'm afraid with limited processor speed it would possibly
cripple performance. Any thoughts appreciated.

You need iTunes 4.9 or above to use the Nano on your Mac.
Which I think means you need X.2 or higher but yes you need to upgrade. No OS9 support at all.

Your PowerBook supports Tiger but I'd recommend a new Mac for the best experience. How much RAM do you have? OS X loves RAM.

Tiger runs fine on a怀pismo with enough RAM, but these days I would say getting a new Mac is a lot better often.
