Sent my broken iPod to Apple on Dec 21 (and it was technically a month out of warranty - it was bought Nov 21 but it was registered on xmas)

Dec 22 and a brand new iPod is on its way from the factory in Taiwan.

Sweet.

well... i got it back... i take back that thumbs up... i got some guy named Rick's ipod... at least that's who owns it according to the engraving...

apparently the serial number got typed in wrong. after basically being accused of trying to get something for nothing, they told me that they were "prepared to offer me" the correction for only the $30 shipping charge.

isn't that swell of them?
apple's getting a letter.
