Anyone have suggestions on a cheaper alternative to the apple power adaptor for 5gen iPod? There's a few cheap ones on eBay, but I'm scared to use one of those

Well if you don't want to use the Apple adapter and are scared of buying a third-party model, I think the only thing you're left with is building your own. Good luck with that.

I'm not scared of using a third party model, just the $.99 ones on ebay

I use the inCase power adatpter. AC and DC all in one... Cheaper than buying two for each type of power source.

Just buy the Apple one off ebay. I've seen third party adapters fry iPods.

If you want, I may have an extra... $20 shipped.
