LoadPod, if you will recall, is a company that offers to put music on your iPod for you using your own CDs (for around $1.89 per disc). I personally find the idea rather comical. iTunes makes importing music from CDs as easy as I can possibly imagine it, but I suppose some people have more money than time (and/or computer savvy).

Now this company is offering to put your DVDs onto your video iPod. I'm a little surprised that a company can get away with charging for this, given that breaking the encryption on DVDs is technically illegal in the US, but the real surprise is how much they are charging -- $34.95 per movie! (A bit less if you order lots at a time) That's more than almost any DVD costs. Is anyone really going to do this? Video encoding can be a little time consuming, but I have trouble believing that anyone but the very rich would actually want to make use of this service.

LOL!!! I like graphic at the top of the page. It shows a stack of DVDs and then an arrow pointing to an iPod Nano. If you scroll down the page a little you can read this little gem:

"- Service requires a video iPod ( no nanos , minis, obsolete iPods, etc)."

Slick shoes?!! Are you crazy?!!

I think that graphic is of CDs. They use it on their main page as well. But it is a little misleading, yes.
