I recently bought the 30 GB iPod video and there's one thing that I don't like about it compared to the older models. If I have an artist that has one album and a couple random songs (that are not on an album), when I go to that artist, it goes straight to the songs on the album only and I can't see the random songs. In other words, it doesn't go to the artist menu where it says "all" and then the different albums. However, if I go to the songs list, they're there. This doesn't happen if I have more than one album though. On my old iPod (3G, 15 GB), when I had this case, it went to the artist menu first and not directly to the songs. Is there a way to fix this or is it just a new design on the iPod?

Yeah, same iPod and same issue. It's quite annoying and the only fix I've seen is to enter an album name for every song. I prefer not to do this as some person's I only have a single song from, and it would expand my album list unnecessarily. I expect Apple to come out with a software update soon...probably next week after Macworld to coincide with the rumored updated shuffles.

I had the same problem and thought it was something I was doing wrong too.
I had to tag each song in the album field with "Untitled" and then they showed up.
I selected all the songs as a group, did get info and named it in the album field.
It was quicker than doing it for each song.

Sorry, I'm digging up an old topic, but I just got an iPod (30Gb) and while tagging songs with an "None" album works, I was wondering if there was an update or something that I don't have yet. You'd think they'd catch this issue and enough people would complain about it..... Thanks in advance.
