I'm going to buy a 5G 60gb iPod this week and had a question. A while back, Apple was giving a $50 credit if you traded in an old iPod. Do they still do this? I am upgrading from a 3G 30gb BTW.

Thanks,
Tim

For $59, they'll give you a brand new 30gb iPod (your model). You can then sell that.

Where could you possibly get a 3G iPod for $59?

Through their iPod replacement program, but that's *only* if your iPod's battery is failing.

where would I find info on this $59 replacement? That's the problem I have, I can't even take it off the charger for more than 5 minutes before it dies on me.

I would go to small dog and do their trade it. It seems to be a pretty good deal.

Apple Store handles the $59 exhange. It is an "out-of-warranty" AppleCare purchase, basically.
