iPod 60GB can mount/sync/update only once in iTunes

	For some reason my brand new iPod 60GB with original 1.0 firmware and latest iTunes/QT will only mount in iTunes once per application load. If I want to do further updates with iTunes, I have to quit and reload it. Is this a problem with me or do others have similar issues?
