hello. i used to have an ipod photo and i had this problem that when i didnt turn it on for a couple of hours or something, i'm not sure exactly how long, it had that black and white apple screen when i turned it on. it was that screen that comes up when you reset it. and when it happened, the battery was all drained when it was just freshly charged. and this time i just got a brand new ipod video and its doing it again. can someone help?.
oh and btw. my ipod sometimes does that thing where it says "The Ipod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application." could this be a part of the problem??. thanks!

I don't recall the way to do it off hand, but there's a sequence of buttons you push to reset it. I had the same issue and found the answer on Apples site in the Support section.

on my old ipod, 3G 10gig, if I didnt use it for a couple days the next time I turned it on it would have the black and white apple screen, and the battery indicator would be almost empty but then filled itself back up.

yeah.. i think its the same problem though.. but mine is a little more frequent than a couple days.. more like half a day maybe??.. =[[.. and my new one doesn't drain the battery and refill it.. its just the way i leave it, but the apple screen is the same.. and i cant change the order of my songs.. in iTunes, its in the order i want it, but on my iPod its in the order i put it in..
the resetting didnt work. i've even tried uninstalling iTunes and redownloading it.. anyone know why its like this??
