I used handbrake to convert my house of flying daggers movie.

tried it twice.
both times i get no sound at all

this ever happen to anyone else using handbrake?

No, actually it hasn't. Are you sure you had the proper sound track selected in the settings? Does it only happen with that one movie? It could be something odd about that disc.

Well I dont have the actual disk anymore but I have the VOB files on my computer. that I riped with mac the ripper...


and thats the only movie it messes up with....

I had a disc that did this once. I just gave up on it.

I have decided to do the same
I have done 4 disks since then and handbrake has worked flawlessly
