hello.. i've come here before with this problem and nothing worked, but this time i found out something else.
i recently noticed that when i turn off my ipod, the screen turns completely off, but i can still hear the click wheel clicking when i move my finger on the touch pad. and when i turn it on, the volume is changed, meaning that the touch pad still functions while the ipod is off.
also, if i leave my ipod off and don't turn it on for about a day, i cannot turn it on using the play/pause button, i need to push the center button or the menu button, and when i do, the black and white apple screen comes up [like the one that comes up when you reset it]. i think the ipod does resets when this happens because everything is back to the main menu as if it were reset.
i also can't change the order of my songs on my ipod. when i change the order on iTunes, it's still in the order that i imported into my ipod.
and most of the times that i update my ipod, i cant eject it, i usually use the icon on the toolbar for ejecting.
this is my second ipod that did this, my first ipod photo did not do this until i had it for almost a year, but my ipod video started doing this within weeks of my purchase.
i've tried resetting it several times, ive tried uninstalling itunes and installing it again. i think the problem may have something to do with my computer.
i hope that someone can help this time.. it would be greatly appreciated.
