Hi, I'm new here, and thought I'd ask for help regarding the iPod Video, iTunes, and video conversion for the iPod Video.

I currently own an iPod Nano 4GB black. I've been really pleased with it. Lately, however, I realize there's just so much more music I want to put on my iPod. I've also recently got a new a computer, watching video files and all, and I think it'd be great to watch those on the go.

So, here is the core of my question.

I currently use another family member's computer to manage my music on my iPod Nano. However, if and when I get an iPod Video, I'd like to copy all of my music and the program iTunes itself from one computer to the other, preserving all my purchased music and regular music. I'm not too good with computers, so I'm not sure if this is even possible. But the reason I'd want to move the iTunes is so I could manage my videofiles, that are on my computer, and put them on my iPod, without having to fiddle with iTunes for video management.

My plan is to download the Videora iPod converter to convert my .avi files to mp4 to download onto my iPod Video. I'll use that program to manage videos. I'd like to use iTunes to manage my music. Both of these programs would reside on my computer, and would not intereact with one another in any way, preventing video download and such.

So, am I able to do any of this? If so, how do I go about doing so?

It sounds like you’re using windows.
As this is Mac forum, you can likely find answers to your questions at iLounge.com.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.
