Quick question for the forumn. Earlier this week, I experienced the above mentioned "Error -208" when syncing both my iPod Nano and my 5th Gen 60 Gig iPod with video. In both cases, I recieved an error message shortly after the syncing process was initiated stating that the sync could not continue. In both cases however, clicking "OK" on the error message resulted in the sync process continuing and completing successfully.

I'm syncing both on my Powerbook running the lastest version of the OS and the latest version of iTunes. I've had many iPods in the past and have never experienced this error message before. In both cases I had no other devices attached to the computer during the sync process. The only things I've changed over the past few weeks are that I have installed iLife 06 and recently started to experiment with Podcasts. In both cases, I believe that the error message displayed while adding the podcasts to my iPod. I did however attempt to resync again without syncing the Podcasts and saw the same error message again.

Has anyone else seen this? It appears harmless but is still annoying...

I believe that this problem may be related to iPhoto syncing in iLife 06. I have continued to experience the same issue with both my nano and my 5G. This weekend, my wife purchased a 30 Gig 5G and when we connected it and synced it the first two times, we had no problems at all. After syncing the 2nd time, we added some pictures to the iPod and when it went to sync for the first time after setting this up, we got the error message.

Still syncs OK...

BTW - Can't get over how thin her 30 Gig feels compared to my 60 Gig...
