Well I can normally connect my IPOD Shuffle to the computer and see the green to then turn orange light in the usb port connected. The light flashes as usual, and Itunes detects it, I add music, and its all perfect. When I remove my IPOD Shuffle after Itunes says OK TO DISCONNECT, and try to turn on the Shuffle, the light on the front will not turn on. Battery will not turn on either, and nothing will happen. The light is not damaged since I see it flashing under my computer, but what could be the problem exactly? I would appreciate your help on how to make my shuffle work. thanks.

Try flicking the off/shuffle/sequential switch back and forth a few times to see if you can clear it. You might also try a firmware update or restore with the latest iPod Updater software. Unfortunately, there are not many troubleshooting steps with the Shuffles...

A firmware update is new software that gets loaded onto hardware, which it will run. It's usually very low level, meaning it's as close to the hardware as you can get. More simply, it's the code the hardware runs to make your device go.
In the case of the iPod, it's the actual mini operating system it runs to play back your media. You can update it with Apple's iPod Updater application by hitting the Update button in it, if it's enabled. You may already have the newest version.
