i was listening to my ipod while the hold was on and it droped. i had droped it before so i figured this wasnt any diffrent and it was still playing so i kept listening when i went to turn it off i notced the hold button wasnt turning off then i realised the problem the hold button had broken and wasnt working all the electronics were fine latter it turned off and now the only way to get it back on is to plug it into my computer. heres the catch the warnety expired a week ago and i didnt get the extended warnty

my friend told me about some button sequence u can press

if ANYBODY knows how to fix my ipod PLEASE help me

What generation iPod is it?

It sounds like the "hold switch mover" may have come separated from the switch on the iPod system board. If nothing's snapped, it may be a quick fix -- if you're feeling ambitious.

Press and hold Menu and Play/Pause at the same time for resetting magical goodness.
