Hi all,

I just finished charging my iPod and when I went to turn it on all of the screens are coming up normally and all...like where it shows the menu for songs, video, etc. My problem is is that when I PLAY a song it no longer shows any song info 'nor does it show anything when I turn up the volume. Normally there's the graphic at the bottom or the screen showing that the volume is being turned up...and that's not working either!!!! I've reset all of the settings already but that never fixed it.....anyone have any suggestions at all??? Thanks in advance all MUCH APPRECIATED

have you reset it? ie. holding the menu button and the play button at the same time.

Reset first. Then Restore. If Restore does not work, take it to the Apple Store. Make an appointment with the Genius Bar first from home. It is defective if the Restore does not fix it. They will replace it.

The same exact thing happened to my nano and this is how I fixed it:

-Turn off iPod
-Turn hold on (hold is the small switch on the top edge of the iPod)
-Turn hold off
-Hold down the menu and middle button for a few seconds

The iPod will restart and your problem should be fixed. All this does is reset your iPod - the same thing that the other 2 members suggested. However I tried to reset my nano using their method and it didn’t work.

I hope it works for you Kerry77.
