I just picked up a 30 gig black iPod. The scroll wheel does not seem to be flush with the iPod on one side. It's really not that bad, but it's kind of annoying after paying $300. Is this something Apple will exchange? I can ge back to the Apple Store in a few days, just want to know if anyone else has this problem.

Thanks!

You honestly want Apple to replace your iPod because the scroll wheel is a little crooked? ...... get a life.

Or, more nicely stated, Apple will not replace your iPod for minor physical issues that fall within the manufacturing specifications. It also could be a bit of an optical illusion due to the lucite plastic being clear on the top with the black layer being underneath the plastic. At some angles, since you can see through or into the top layer, other parts can look out of place.

i think you have every right to return/exchange if it's within the return period. i am also really irritated with minor things like that. you paid $300 for it; it should be up to your standards. if you're within the return/exchang go back and ask for another one. if they say no, get a refund and go buy it at another retailer. if there is a restocking fee, then you'll have to deal with the minor flaw or pay the fee. doesn't hurt to try.

Took it back today.
They had no problem with the exchange and agreed that it should not have been that way.
The new one is much better.

...Now I can go get that life SkaGoat was talking about.
