I hav been using a mac forever, and now have a friend's ipod...first time hookup.
I CANNOT believe there isn't a way to transfer her music to my iTunes lib? Somehow surely there
must be a way???

This has been discussed here before.

Apple's agreements with the music industry restricted the ease with which music could be uploaded from the ipod (and for good reason).

A quick trip to macupdate.com and a search for ipod will give you more apps than you want that can do this for you.
