so i go to restore my 1g ipod today, and it goes fine untill it tellls me to unplug and replug my ipod to complete the process, so i do, but the computer won't recongnize that its there, it just keeps displaying the little graphic asking you to plug it in. i've tried manually resetting it like 5 times by unplugging the battery inside, but that doesn't change anything. Anyway, if any of you guys could help me i'd really appreciate it, becuase i'm waitin for a real ipod video to come out before i replace this thing.

thanks,

have you tried to plug it into a wall charger rather than the computer? with the last ipod update i had to use my monster car charger/wireless car audio unit for it to work. i was on a road trip and didnt have the regular ipod wall charger. it wont do anything if you plug it back intot he computer like youve been experiencing, you need to actually use a wall charger.

plugging it into a wall charger didn't work, what happens now when i plug it into wall or computer is it shows the apple logo for a second or two then the plug in logo for a second or two then it turns off, and when i press any button it just does the same thing over again. Is there anyway you guys could think i might be able to mount this at least as and hdd.
