Hi all,
At home, I have my iPod set to automatically sync my iPod. However, at work, it's set to manual so that I don't (obviously) wipe my iPod. What I do sometimes is I'll get a podcast or vidcast update while I'm at work, drag it to the iPod manually, and listen to it in the car, or watch it later. I've been doing that for years with music. The problems is that not all of the vidcasts that I drag to the iPod are showing up under "Videos->Movies" on the iPod, but these same videos DO show up when the iPod is set to sync the very same shows at home. The videos are listed in the track list of the iPod itself. The odd thing is that it seems to be random - some files work, some don't. All the videos I made myself work fine. Is there any reason why videos dragged to the iPod manually don't always show up under "VIdeos->Movies" and some do?

PROBLEM SOLVED

First off, I forgot to mention that I'm using a Windows machine at work.

If I transfer it from Windows to the iPod on iTunes DIRECTLY it works, but not if I'm dragging it from the Podcast listing to iTunes.

So what I have to do it right-click on the downloaded vidcast, select "Show Item", then drag that file to the iPod that's listed on iTunes.

Weird, huh?
