I have a 30g ipod video, I had i-tunes installed on anouther comp where I put the majority of my music on. I recently reformated my comp and reinstalled itunes...Now all my previous music is still detected on my ipod, but I cant add to my current music selection or delete certin playlist without removing all my songs on it. Its like the player is locked from any new material being put on. I would really like to be able to customize my playlist and remove certin tracks or video from it without deleteing my current 20g of music and starting fresh.. Any ideas?

You are going to have to first copy the music from your ipod to your computer using a 3rd party program like copypod. If you don't do that, you will lose all of your music if you sync your ipod from itunes.
