My window has been smashed and stereo stolen twice since I moved to Atlanta. Both times I've been left with a hollow dash with a bunch of wires hanging out. Is there any way I can hook my ipod up without having a stereo deck? I only use my ipod anyways and I'd prefer not to give anymore incentive to potential thiefs. I've already paid $800 in windows and can't afford to lose another...

Check out amps with aux. inputs. You'd control the volume using your iPod control wheel.

Check out the new Alpine car stereos...for @230 you can have a new head unit that you can control the ipod from....you put the ipod in your glove box or whereever you want and no one has to know it.

If it happens again, make sure to check salvage yards for windows. I had the rear quarter window broken on my car (only CD's stolen) and Ford wanted $600 for the part alone. I went to a salvage yard and picked one up for $80 and the labor was about $40.

Good luck and park in lighted areas.
