Video iPod resetting???

I have owned the new ipod video for about two months and i seems to be resetting itself quite a bit. Where the screen goes dark and then the apple comes up and then the regular screen after that. Before this i had a mini and i never had this problem. Is it a problem with my perticular unit or just something that happens on the Video iPod? Thanks for you help.
