Now that they're < $190, I picked up a ROKR off of one of those shady import sites. It's unlocked, so I can use it with T-Mobile, but it's apparently from China and limited to just 50 songs. The iTunes software on it is ver. 1.0.

I'm not sure what version of the software you get if you're a Cingular customer who bought it the "right" way, but I doubt it's still 1.0. On Moto's own ROKR site, there's a software update link, but it's only for Cingular and it's a Windows executable file. WTF!?

Am I just screwed or is there some solution I haven't thought of?

I know when you buy it the right way, there is a 100 song limit and the itunes software is way past v. 1.0 which is very obslete now.

that should move you up to 100 songs.

Theres also a hack for 1000 songs but as far as I can tell you need a PC to load the music onto the Rokr once you have hacked the iTunes player on the Rokr.
