Hi, I have what must be a pretty basic-beginner question, but, I don't know how to do this ...! :

I backed up a rather large library of my CD music directly from my Apple iBook to an external drive. This External Hard Disk drive also has document & other misc programmes backed-up from my PC. Can I transfer the iTunes Library from the External Drive to my PC? I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes on to my PC.
My iBooks has been stolen and I want to have the music now on my PC.
Grateful if someone would walk me through the process of the transfer
Thank you

The easiest way is to just drag the folder containing the music into the iTunes window. By default, iTunes will copy the songs to your PC's hard disk. That's it, I believe. Of course, this is assuming that the external hard disk is formatted for PC use. If not, you'll need something like MacDrive to enable the PC to read a mac disk.

What about the reverse? I'm trying to go from a pc (don't wanna use it no more) to a mac. Anyway to do it just from the iPod? iTunes wants to reset everything since it's formatted to Windows.
