so I purchase my ipod vid 30gb off amazon uk in Jan, and it gets faulty at the end of Feb, so I send it to apple uk and they replace it.. now the replacement has the same problems, not playing half the songs, loud clicking noise, 1hr battery etc. Would apple replace it again or is it possible to get a refund off amazon even though it's a different ipod
thanks in advance

Well you certainly can't return a different iPod to Amazon 3-4 months after purchase. Maybe you should detail your problems to us here. It's possible that the problems are solvable, or might even be caused by something that you're doing. I personally find it a little hard to believe that two iPods in a row would be having the exact same set of problems that you describe.

I dunno if it's like this for all ipods but around a 8hr charge will give me an hours audio playback, everytime i change tracks etc there is a loud clicking noise coming from the ipod. Takes about 1 minute to turn off. And say I add an album too it , when I play the album only about 4 tracks will play and the rest will just skip...
any help is appreciated.. or could I just send the replacement back to apple and get another?

How are you charging it? On your computer? With a wall charger? Did it ever get more battery life than that, or did it suddenly change. What kind of clicking noise? From the hard drive? When you say it takes a minute to turn off, how are you turning it off? And is it always the same songs that are skipped? Were they ripped/purchased with itunes or did you download them somewhere?

There's something definitely abnormal there. I would go back to Apple again.

wall charge, any newly added album half the songs won't play, i assume the clicking is coming from the HD..
i've asked apple to come and pick it up anyway... third time lucky I hope

hey guys,
im really new to this site, and to ipods in general.
i seem to be having the same problems as ajh!!
i just got my 30GB video ipod almost a week ago and i havent charged my ipod for over 4 hrs (at one time) but it seems i only get about 2 hours playback
and when i convert a video for my ipod there is no sound and it takes at least 2 days to convert a movie over one hour long? is this normal?
im using a charger through my computer and windows Xp.
can anyone help me?
thanks
p.s im also having trouble adding photos. i went to another post on this site and it told me how to add them, but they're just not showing up. should i have a folder called iphotos in my itunes?
