Does anyone know -- Is there a way to get customized equalizer settings to show up on the iPod menu?

I've made some customized equalizer settings in iTunes. They're saved there and they are available to my iPod when it's connected to iTunes. But they don't show up in the Equalizer menu on the iPod when the iPod is on its own.
