Wouldn't the ipod interface be great if Front Row was the software on the iPod. There would be exeptions to the look like a settings column and no remote. It would be a way easier solution if these rumored touch screen ipods had that instead. You's have so many fingerprints without it. in the bottom corner of the screen a virtual 6 button remote like the Apple Remote. That'd be great

I don't understand what you mean. If anything, Front Row is based on the iPod's interface.

I think they should pair bluetooth with the next generation iPods.

i mean when you turn your ipod on, you are greeted with those same 4 icons, but an extra one, settings, will be there. it will look exactly the same as ot would on a mac. front row with a virtual Apple Remote built-in to the touch screen would be really nice, and a great feature for the new ipod, they really havent changed the software at all. because if you had to touch the screen with your fingers (which you probably will), then you will get finger prints and scratches all over it. if a virtual remote was on the back or a virtual picture when you touch a certain part of the screen, the scratch and fingerprint issuse wouldnt be an issue anymore.
and another thing- is it me or do you HATE the metal backs of ipods that get disgusting and scratched just by looking at it? how come they cant make the whole thing the polycarbonate plasic they use on the front, it would probably keep it lighter!

The metal backs do scratch, but then again so do the fronts. I think the back needs to be metal because metal can be a lot thinner than plastic and still retain its strength, but they could have chosen a different type of metal finish (matte instead of shiny). Still, it's not that big of a deal to me compared to getting scratches on the front.

it'd be nice if they did it like the macbooks and macbook pros. nanos would have the same case they had now, white or black, but the flagship ipods (30 and 60) would have an aluminum metal case like the macbook pro!
