All, I need some help with iPod speakers.

I want to buy a set of portable speakers to take away on holiday with me (in Europe) that will also act as a charger for my video iPod (30GB). I am looking at the Altec Lansing IM3c and the IM5 models, but cant decide.

I would try them in our local apple store, but it is always bedlam in there and you cannot test the quality. Has anyone looked at these 2 in a quiet environment to do a proper evaluation??

Does anyone have a better recomendation of what I should look at?

I went to the apple store earlier and bought the logitech portable unit. The sound on the AL's sounded a little light and distorted.

My wife hates the logitech one though. She doesn't think it is portable at all. Hopefully I can convince her that she only needs to take 6 pairs of shoes on holiday, leaving the space the 7th pair would have taken up for the new speakers
