Hi -- For my recent birthday, I asked for, and received, an mp3 player that WASN'T an ipod (got my mini two years agao and still love it). I needed to be able to play windows media files that I can download from a library web site -- essentially downloading audio books for a limited time, for free. I listen to lots of them while exercising and thought this sounded great.
The player my husband got is NOT mac compatible (at least, the requirements all mention Windows). I haven't opened it yet to see if it might work with a Mac, anyway, since all I want to do is do the audiobooks on it. I checked the Creative web site and pulled a couple players at random; they, too, have Windows requirements.
My question -- OK, much as I love apple, not EVERYONE in the world who has an Apple computer has an ipod. There must be 1 or 2 percent of the people out there using a different machine. Does such an animal exist? Is it any good? Or should I just keep the player I have and use it with our Windows machine (which I only use to play hearts and free cell.)
thanks in advance.
