I am now the proud owner of 3 iPods. (mine, my wifes, and my sons)... is there such a thing as a multidock for iPods? Today we have oodles of cables, plugging, unplugging - and just think there must be a better solution out there?

I read somewhere that the avg. iPod user, has now a second one or will buying a second one (for kids, wife, etc.)

Anyone seen such a thing? or has a better solution?

Thanks -

The closest thing you will find, I havn't looked into it deeply, is apples universal dock. It comes with attachments to fit most ipods, excluding some, (but those are the newer ipods, so those attachments are included with your ipod). It allows you to use USB (or firewire if you have all older ipods) to connect one dock, with interchangeable "clips" to every ipod. It's not the most convienent, but it's closer than a bunch of different docks and cables. Plus it has an optional remote you can buy. http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL....8.25.7.11.0.3

if your handy with wood. you can always make your own multidock. make it so it has a raised base, slots for each connector for the ipod come up ( first though demal the little hook pins on the side off so you dont have to pinch the thing to disconnect the ipod) have the ipod wires go through the back via a nitch in the wood or just put it through the clearance underneith, wrap the wires so they look like one, and connect all of the to the computer via a small POWERED usb port and have that connected to the computer so that instead of having three usb things taken you only have one.

my two cents
