So just a couple of days ago, I'm loading songs and getting rid of some old stuff - everything's fine - FAT32 formatted, mounts and interfaces with both my mac and peecee's. Then all of a sudden, I can't get the damn thing to mount, nor is it recognized in iTunes, regardless of platform. It plays fine and the battery charges from either my computer [via firewire] or the charger/dock. The iPod in question is a 40gb 3G. Anybody got ideas? I guess if I had to I could do a restore, but I'd rather not lose everything and go through the hassle of reloading 30gigs of music [unless I knew that would fix the problem]. Worse case scenario is I do a restore/reset, lose everything and the ability to mount the ipod in iTunes!!

Thanks in advance for helpful advice,

vickster
