I'm thinking of buying an iPod Nano 4GB, but want it so I can connect it to my car audio cassette. What will I need to buy to do this?

I've started to look into it and found this link but it says you need a dock as well. Is this the only thing I can buy to connect it, or is there something else? and if the bundle is the only way to connect it, will I defiantly need the dock as well?
Seems like alot of stuff to buy just to connect it to my car audio, so any advice on what to buy will be appreciated. Thanks.

You just need a cassette adapter that plugs into your iPod's headphone jack. I use one in my car -- had it for ages so can't remember where I got it! I am pretty sure Monster, Griffin, etc. do them. They are very cheap and very effective. If you have a good ear for music and sound quality, not to mention a decent sound system in your car, you'll find this a much more rewarding solultion than the FM transmitters.

i'll concur with cms on this one. and you dont really need a dock, if you look at the cable length from the cassette adapter that goes to your nano, you could have enough length just to put it in a cup holder or, if you want use this nifty toy for your car: http://www.handstands.com/retail/com...tickypad.shtml
they have that size, and they also have an XL size as well. a friend has one of these in her car and all i can say from seeing the keep her ipod AND phone on the dash (she has the xl version) is wow

So just one of these will do?link I thought about the length of the wire as it looks a bit short, but like you say it will probably reach where my cup holder is.
My car is brand new so the sound system in it is fine, so I think you guys are right.

But I want a car charger for the nano as well, since one isn't provided. I was looking at this link

Do you think its better to just buy those two seperately, or just buy the bundle in the link in my first post?

Thanks guys.

the entire, this \is made for the nano stuff is just a sale gimmick. any charger that has a flat ipod connector will due. this one is a little more money, but it has a life time replacement, so if something happenes to it (within reason) than all you have to do is send it in and monster will ship you a new one (after you give them a call for a RMA number) http://www.monstercable.com/MP3/prod...%20iPod%20Nano
the length of the cord is a very good length and to save you some searching heres a link to there cassette adapter http://www.monstercable.com/MP3/prod...%20iPod%20Nano
again the cord length on this is great 40 inchs.

Hope this helps

side note: i do not work for monster cables, i've had great experiences with them over the years and recommend there stuff when ever possible due to there greatness

edit: the link in your first post is no good, it's a timed out apple store link

Sorry for not replying sooner I ended up getting the Maxell cassette adapter and what a waste of money that is, its going straight back. The sound quality os awful on it and so fuzzy, anyone thinking of getting it, don't bother.

My friend had a connector for his car, so I tried his a Belkin one and it was perfect so I now have one of them and couldn't be happier with it, it's crystal clear so I would defiantly recommend it.

Thanks for the help guys.
