RESET the iPod. Turn the hold button on and off, then hold the Menu and Select buttons for about 6-10 seconds. That should do it.

Oh, and Welcome to the MacNN Forums!

Really? A mini-computer with a HD and an OS plugging into a Windows box has more problems with a CD player that spins a flat circular disc around and around?

That's crazy.

I totally know what you mean, master of the obvious, and check this out, as simple as my Mac is, it gives me WAY more problems than a pencil and a piece of paper. How "NUTZ" is that?

lol, it's supposed to click when you browse your music. You can turn it off in the settings menu. It's called, "Clicker"

I can't say I'm as happy as I thought I would be with my iPod. if I don't use it for more then a day then the only way i can turn it on is by pressing the middle button, then it goes through the apple bootup logo. So annoying. And it seems like any time I hold play to turn it off all that happens is the screen dims. drives me bonkers at least it looks cool
