I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a possibility of the new ipod having bluetooth so it could be updated and transfer songs wirelessly. I know it would still have to have to have a powercord but i thought it would be interesting. Any thoughts????

Bluetooth is far too slow for iPod syncing and song transfer. Not to say that it won't ever appear on an iPod, but it won't be a substitute for the USB cable. On the other hand, it'd be cool for using wireless headphones, and possibly making your iPod dial your phone or pause when it rings or whatever.

Of course, I doubt there are many people who have any idea whether Bluetooth will show up at all.

This is the major reason why I would be interested in seeing Bluetooth for the next gen iPod's. I can imagine a new Apple marketing campaign that is full of those famous posters of 'silohuette'ed' people dancing w/ their iPods, nary a wire to be seen! Let's hope Bluetooth capability in iPods become a reality.
