I tried to turn on my mini this morning at the office only to discover that it wouldn’t work. Thinking this was the result of a dead battery, I plugged it into my work PC. Not getting any response from either the mini or the PC (it did not recognize that anything was plugged into it), I plugged thing into my powerbook. Still nothing. I left it plugged in for an hour, and there was no response. The iPod is about one month out of warranty. Should I just give up on it, or is there something that can be done? Thanks for any assistance.

Take it to your local Apple Store, if you're nice they may replace/repair as a courtesy even though you're out of warranty.
