Have just purchased my first Mac (Macbook Intel) and have just transfered all my ITunes library onto it. On my P.C. I had a small program to get rid of the nanny state volume restriction applied to E.U. IPods. Is there anything like it for macs?.........Help please as i would like to play my IPod at a reasonable volume !!

There's a volume restriction? I got my video iPod in the UK and it goes pretty damn loud should you want it to - I never knew there was an EU restriction?

They put a 100db cap on all IPods sold in the E.U............which is a bit strange coz if you buy one in the U.S. then there is no restriction..........the programs you download get the restriction removed which helps......puts you back in control.....))).........

DouglasFir's signature has been addressed.

And everyone should remember that if you remove the volume limiter, you are accepting responsibility for your own hearing loss. You cannot sue anyone for going deaf, which is where the limiter apparently came from.
