Here's my problem. I just bought a new iPod Nano 1GB today (That's not the problem) and I copied a bunch of songs on it (actually just 218) and now I want to make a special iPod playlist on my hard drive iTunes Library (not on the Nano). Here's the deal, I want the same songs that are on my iPod in a playlist on my hard drive without having to go through all the songs on my iPod and manually picking and dragging each song into the playlist until I have the same one. I don't want duplicate songs in my Library... I still want them linked up to the same songs but, in 1 easy to handle playlist and then have my Nano just update to that when I plug it in.

I think this is what you want:

Plug your iPod into your computer and make sure it's set to manual update. On your iPod, select all and then choose get info (so you change the info all 218 tracks simultaneously). In the grouping field type "iPod". Then back in your library, make a smart playlist (make sure the playlist is created in your library and not on your iPod). Set this smart playlist to match all songs with the grouping "iPod" and then sync your nano to automatically update only that playlist. Keep in mind that this process will change the info for these songs in your library as well but at least you wont get duplicates.

Sorry, instead of changing the grouping field on your ipod, you have to change it in the library. So you have to select all 218 songs manually, but then you can still change the info at the same time.
