my 20Gb colour ipod has recently been replaced by apple (due to the first ipod breaking!)

now when the replacement ipod is connected to my Pc (exactly the same way as the original was when it worked) i tunes does not acknowledge that an ipod is even there! although when my ipod is put onto a different i tunes (a friends computer) it works perfectly, leading me to believe that there is something wrong with my i tunes.

[my pc says that it is an IPOD connected and not a usb device, also itunes used to work perfectly & has only recently stopped with this new ipod]

i'm not extremely computer literate but i can follow on screen instructions, i have been to the apple site & have follwed its instructions but to no avail i have also deleted & replaced the newest i tunes (several times) as well as the newest ipod updater.

i rang ipod customer services and after 2hours of messing around with my computer have just said that "its a conflict and should work" - not much help as it means nothing to me!

in short, i just want to put my music onto my ipod & can't ! any help/advice/suggestions on how to do this would be very useful!!
